OPS Youth Developmental Football Academy

The OPS Developmental Football Academy is an alternative to tackle for younger and less-experienced players from age 4-10. The format is a mix of skill work and group activities to learn the game in a fun, low-pressure environment.

Focuses are technical skills, athletic development, game understanding, speed, teamwork and sportsmanship.

The Yard

The Yard is a six-session program that focuses on teaching basic principles of football.

Each week will begin with a 40-45 minute instruction session teaching a fundamental aspect of the game, established by OPS Football staff. This can be a particular playing trait such as throwing or catching or skills such as change of direction, acceleration, etc.

The instruction session is followed by an activity or scrimmage that works on honing the skills taught during instruction.
